Abstract

In recent years, the rapid changes occurring in the world, including climate change, biodiversity loss, water scarcity and other issues, have shown the need to reform traditional economic models. It is becoming increasingly clear that the concept of a green economy is relevant in order to simultaneously eliminate environmental problems and achieve sustainable economic growth, ensuring the well-being of the population and developing human capital. The article presents analytical information on the issues of transition to a green economy in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as existing problems and promising directions in the field.
