Abstract

Relevance. A number of studies are being conducted around the world aimed at therapeutic measures that may contribute to adverse oral health outcomes. Oral signs and symptoms associated with COVID-19 include taste disorders, non-specific mouth ulcers, desquamative gingivitis, petechiae, and coinfections such as candidiasis. In this regard, it is necessary to evaluate the clinical changes of the oral cavity in COVID-19 in persons with moderate and severe course with the identification of characteristic features of the lesion of the oral mucosa; to investigate humoral and cellular factors of oral immunity by studying immunoglobulins, cytokines, as well as immunocompetent cells of the immune system. In addition, not only the assessment of the immune status is carried out, but also the ways of early diagnosis and treatment for this infection.
