Abstract

This paper explore the challenges militating accessibility of universal basic education intervention grant for infrastructure facilities development in Nigeria. The paper is a review paper. The paper used secondary data to support every point raised. The paper employed systematic review system to collect data online and in the print resources. The paper identified lack of political will to access the intervention grant, weak leadership in state universal basic education board, stringent condition or rigidity of UBEC condition to access the grant and inability of state governments to raise the 50 per cent counterpart as factors militating against accessing the to FG Universal Basic Education intervention grant by state government in Nigeria. Based on this finding, the paper recommends review of the UBE Act 2004.
