Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Simplified Learning Module in Home Economics and Livelihood Education (HELE) in Grade 4 learners during the academic year 2020-2021 at Awihao Elementary School in Toledo City, Cebu. A descriptive survey research method was used, and questionnaires were distributed to teachers, learners, and parents to evaluate the Simplified Learning Module. The gathered data were analyzed using total weighted points, weighted mean, and t-test. Based on the findings, the Simplified Learning Module met the DepEd learning competencies in HELE Grade 4 and was effective in terms of design, performance, functions, and operation. It is recommended that the Simplified Learning Module and the Self-Learning Home Task Module be adopted and enhanced for the learners in Grade 4 HELE.
