This article explores the importance and effectiveness of the reflective approach in shaping assessment competencies among prospective primary school teachers. The research emphasizes that the development of evaluation skills is a critical aspect of professional teacher training, particularly in the context of modern educational requirements. Through reflective methods such as self-assessment, peer assessment, and feedback analysis, future teachers are able to better understand their pedagogical decisions, identify areas for improvement, and cultivate a deeper sense of professional responsibility. The study analyzes practical strategies and didactic mechanisms that contribute to enhancing reflective thinking as a key driver of assessment literacy. Findings indicate that reflective practices significantly improve not only the accuracy and fairness of assessment but also the overall quality of teaching and learning processes.
