Abstract

The process of teaching listening skills is crucial for language learners as it enables them to comprehend spoken language, develop their communication abilities, and gain deeper insights into cultural contexts. To enhance the effectiveness of teaching listening, various methods can be employed. These methods include the audio-lingual method, task-based learning, interactive listening, and the use of multimedia tools. Each of these methods emphasizes active engagement with listening material, whether through direct practice, structured tasks, or the use of technology to aid comprehension. This annotation outlines the importance of these methods and how they can be applied in the classroom to foster students' listening skills. Through a combination of these approaches, learners can improve their listening comprehension, vocabulary acquisition, and ability to respond to spoken language in real-life contexts.
