Abstract

This study investigates the translation of color-based linguistic units by examining how their semantic meanings, pragmatic implications, and discourse roles shift between languages. Through a comparative analysis of texts in Uzbek and English, including literary, journalistic, and conversational examples, this research aims to reveal patterns of equivalence, divergence, and cultural adaptation in the translation process. Ultimately, the study contributes to the broader field of translation studies by highlighting the intricate relationship between language, color perception, and cultural context.
